The "No Make-up" look

As an aspiring make-up artist, I have to be creative and inventive in the various looks I create. But my all time favorite make-up look is the natural look. The natural looking makeup simply enhances your beauty and features. In talking with other make-up artists, I am told that agencies look at how well you can create a natural look more than anything. Take a look at some celebrities that rock the "no make-up" look very often like, Halle Barry, Gabrielle Union and occasionally Beyonce.

I love colored eyeshadows that match my outfits, I love the smoky look but natural make-uo the ladies look so clean and refreshed. Natural is also the classic bridal look. No bride should have all types of colors on their face. It just clashes with the wedding dress and it looks ghetto.

Have great skin is a plus, but some of us can't help not having flawless skin due to heredity or hormones. But nonetheless, anyone can create this fabulous look. Here are some simple steps below:

Angela's 10 step natural look

1. Start with a lightweight moisturizer with sunscreen (Neutrogena and Oil of Olay have some good moisterizing products)

2. Apply a dark brown mascara distributing evely on each eyelash.

3. Apply a matted neutral or beige eyeshadow all over the eyelid. (For an extra pop, try a frosty neutral or beige)

4. Next, apply a matted brown eyeshadow in the crease of the eye blending towards the outer corners of the eye

5. Apply a dark brown eyeliner as close to the rim as possible. Use the eyeliner to also fill in your eyebrows if desired.

6. Next, apply concealer to any blemishes or under eye circles.

7.Then, apply a light foundation blending all over . Be sure to blend any cake-up spots. (depending on your preference, a powder foundation, lipuid or cream will due)

8. Next apply a light oil controlling powder to set foundation.

9. Then, apply blush or bronzer while smiling. Apply to the cheekbones or the apple of your cheeks. Blush should be just one tone pinker than your regular skin color. Be sure not to use a bronzer that's too dark. Make sure it almost matches your skin color.

10. Lastly, apply a lipgloss. The shade should be as close to your natural lip color as possible with a little shimmer if desired.

That is how you create the ultimate natural look!

BRUNO......OH NO!!!!!!! (WORST MOVIE IN HISTORY)

WOW...I mean really!!!!
If I could meet the people that gives the "OK" to release these movies I would surely let them know just how I feel. But since I can't I will tell it all right here, right now!!!!

BRUNO......A Good movie, OK movie, or Bad movie?

None of the above...this movie wishes it could receive a good, OK or even bad.....Bruno has to be the WORST movie in history!!!! In the first 10 seconds of the movie I thought I was watching a "Gay Porn" yes its really that bad!!!! The scenes in that movie were beyond raunchy, beyond trifling, and beyond down-right ridiculous!!!

I am really trying to find the right words to describe this horrible movie...let me start by telling you all why I even went to see this movie in the 1st place.

I saw the previews and I was already skeptical about it, but I thought it would be fun to go with some friends and get a few laughs out of it....little did I know what I was getting myself into. Like I said before...the first 10 seconds of the movie was enough for me to get on my knees and repent for allowing my eye gates to take in such sights.

I walked out midway through the movie because I couldn't take what my eyes were seeing....I was being convicted because in my mind, I was thinking "If Christ was to come back right now, this very second...I know he would have something to say about me and what I was watching"...OK I'm getting sick just thinking about it. This movie was filled with Male Private Parts, Homosexual acts and dialogue, Racist Comments, Culture Critic's, stereotype humor that has been taken to another level!!!! I could not believe what was being shown on the screen....

But I do not totally blame Sacha Baron Cohen (the lead actor in the movie) only; because I have learned that people are going to do what we as a society allow them to get away with...why do you think they come over here to the USA to film such movies!!!! Because what other countries are so strict and are ruling with an iron fist...we being the land of the free, home of the brave are letting people just pervert our freedom!!!!! (ok maybe its not that serious....heck actually it is!!!) So who's to blame? The Producers, Universal Pictures, the Executive Producers, the Writers and so on...

Another thing that disturbed me the most other then the total, perverted, disgusting scenes on the screen, was that I was the only one in the movie theater NOT LAUGHING!!!!! I begin to question the minds of what people find funny and what people will watch just to get a laugh..

BRUNO...is a movie that was written and produced by the Devil himself. This is one movie I will protest against!!!! Its a movie that needs to be Banned from ALL theaters and should even make it too DVD!!!!

True Blood: Suck This!!!

True Blood: Suck This!!!
by: jwriter

I am a lover of all things Vampire, so when I saw that HBO was coming out with a show that was all about vampires; I all but punched the TV in the face. Not only did it promise drama, passion, and vampires "coming out the coffin," but it also was directed by Alan Ball. Alan Ball was the creative mind behind the late, but great HBO series (Six Feet Under). I was anticipating this show with fangs bared and coffin riddle with information on the new series. I was also reading the Twilight Series and let's just say that I had my share of VAMPIRES and my hunger was yet to be satisfied.
The show has been nothing short of spectacular and Sookie and Bill never looked better. The show leaves me at the edge of my seat with it's cliffhangers, shape shifting monsters, and of course Vampires trying to co-exist with humans. The super speed, the spectacular strength, the fangs, and blood are all there! Not to mention they stay true to Vampire lore and have them damaged by the sun and sleeping in coffins; or under floorboards in an old house. So I give this show three thumbs up and if you're looking to be bitten and transformed by a show about vampires let Sookie Stackhouse and Bill Compton show you how its done on HBO's True Blood.

Have You Heard?

Have You Heard?

Picture Disclaimer: source- (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lamman_Rucker)

Have you heard anything about Lamman Rucker, actor from Why Did I Get Married and Meet The Browns (Movie and TV series), is supposedly dating my celebrity crush Jill Scott? This could be just a rumor, because I read this on this entertainment email I get from time to time, but I'm hoping that their relationship is just a rumor LOL. I mean they had chemistry in Why Did I Get Married?, I'm hoping they have chemistry in the sequel, but chemistry in real life I don't know I'm a little biased. I want Jill to be happy and all, but it should be with me LOL (just kidding).
OK so tell me if you guys have read about this relationship or heard about it. And tell me what you think? Who should Jill's love rain fall on?

Hawthorne: The Head Nurse Is Black!!!

Hawthorne: The Head Nurse Is Black!!!

by: jwriter

Picture Disclaimer: Is the property of TNT and does not belong to the current review. It just was so nice!!!

Look I don't know if it was me just wanting to see Jada Pinkett-Smith acting on a TV show again or my growing desire to work in a hospital, but what I do know is that I'm truly enjoying watching Jada as the fiery and down to Earth head nurse Christina Hawthorne. I can't explain why I like the show, except for the action and the occasional fight between Hawthorne and the hospital bureaucracy; I will have to say that the show is good, but it is missing something...I can't quite put my fingers on it. (You tell me what the show is missing).

I also enjoy the metal legged nurse on the show. Her sexiness and amazing smile makes you forget about the fact she only has one real leg...I was wondering how the EMT that's dating her felt when he discovered that, but in the show he seems like that isn't an issue for him.

Finally what is up with Hawthorne's daughter? I mean your mom is a successful head nurse, who is trying to raise you on her own after the death of her husband. What the heck do you have to be rebellious for? Try being raised by a single mother who can't be a head nurse or wasn't afforded the opportunity to do so and then talked to me about rebellion you ungrateful little...sorry I got upset for a second over a fictional character.

All in all I give Hawthorne a thumb up and I applaud Jada Pinkett Smith for coming back to TV on a strong drama series. (Hopefully we'll get more Black TV series that won't get cancelled like The Game and Girlfriends...all Girlfriends was losing its edge near the end anyway).

Why Did I Get Married: The Sequel???

Why Did I Get Married Too?
By jwriter

It looks like Tyler Perry is doing a sequel to Why Did I Get Married? “On June 16, 2009, Tyler Perry confirmed that the entire cast from the first film will return for the sequel. The movie is set to shoot in August for an April 2, 2010 release,” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Why_Did_I_Get_Married_Too%3F)

I personally was a little skeptical about this sequel, not that I don’t believe that Tyler Perry can produce a quality sequel, but I’m wondering what the plot/story will be about. I’m also concerned if this movie will have the same dynamics of love and marriage that made me enjoy the first one.

Of course I was glad when they confirmed that Jill Scott was coming back to the cast. I think Jill Scott and Queen Latifah are beautiful black women. I’m wondering if she’ll sing in this one…I hope she does.

And I can’t wait to see if Angela (Tasha Smith) has calmed down or if she is back to her old hood, cursing people out, drinking, and loud ways. (I hope so.)

All in all I give this sequel a promising two thumb’s up, but I hope that they bring it and make it as good as the first. I hope it isn’t like other sequels and make you long for the first one.
Tell me what are your thoughts on Why Did I Get Married Too?
